The Entrance and Central Coast area offers access to some of the best natural aspects of the coast...... here are just a few to get you going.
Pelican Feeding
The Pelican Feed takes place on The Entrance waterfront at 3.30pm each day and is one of the Central Coast's most popular tourist attractions, entertaining and educating visitors and residents alike about the area's own pelican colony.
It all started over 20 years ago by staff at the local fish shop, who would feed scraps to the pelicans every day. Then in 1996, The Entrance Town Centre Management built the feeding platform known as Pelican Plaza. They, in conjunction with the many sponsors, public donations and a wonderful team of volunteers, have made it possible to feed the pelicans whole fresh fish 365 days a year and make it the spectacle it is today.
Norah Head Lighthouse
The lighthouse takes in magnificent ocean vistas and is the Central Coast's most spectacular icon. A walking track skirts around the side of the lighthouse and leads to stairs which climb down to the rock platform below and to Lighthouse Beach.
Tours of the lighthouse are available from 10am to 1pm seven days per week. There is a fee for the tours. The views from the top of the lighthouse are magnificent.
Golf
If golf’s your game, your beach holiday at The Entrance can be simply amazing. Get into the private greens of the Magenta Shores and test your mettle on the 18 hole course. Have your corporate team along and impress your clients with your fine taste and access to a course sought after by golfing’s best.
Also The Entrance Central Coast boasts of the Shelly Beach Golf Club, which is an expertly landscaped private club where you can hold golf tournaments and company outings.
